Job Title: Manager/Senior Manager Collaboration Services

Job Description:

The Collaboration Services group focuses on the development, integration and maintenance of a variety of cross-departmental collaborative applications and tools for a variety of audiences including Sales, Finance, IT, partners and customers. These applications and tools are centered on SharePoint, Jira, Confluence and ancillary systems located at the operations data centers.

The manager will plan, direct and coordinate the group and is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity and efficiency of the systems through the provision of effective methods and strategies. Another key responsibility of the manager is to manage and develop to identify business requirements and define functional features for core application services.

This person will work with key stakeholders to review requests from Departmental Managers and conduct an analysis of existing systems and future systems, develop business requirements and define functional features for these applications.

Reports to: Mel Christie

Qualifications:

Experience in requirements gathering and documentation for IT systems

Experience with SharePoint 2010 systems

Experience with the complete application lifecycle from software development through to production operations and administration

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing groups of development, administrator and business analysis staff

Self-motivated, fast learner with exceptional follow-through and capable of working independently

Excellent client-engagement and communication skills. A business requirements or business solution type writing sample is required

Superior project and time management skills

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and quality

Excellent, demonstrated ability to express complex concepts in verbal and other forms

English proficiency and excellent grammatical, writing, and editorial skills are required

Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office Professional, Acrobat, as well as other online documentation software. Familiarity with MS Visio and w/ Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Responsibilities

Managing a highly skilled group of development, administrator and business analysis staff

Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of the group with other members of the IT organization

Liaison between business and IT

Organize client interaction meetings

Become the functional expert for the SharePoint sites/applications for each business area

Proactively communicate status of key activities, risks, and issues to the project managers

Coordinate diverse groups who contribute to business requirements and build consensus for requirements across the user groups

Manage requests from internal stakeholders; identify opportunities for other enhancements. Develop best practices and quality assurance procedures for documentation update cycle
