About the Role
Reporting to the SVP of North American Sales, the Area Vice President will be responsible for managing a team of Sales Managers & Senior Account Executive who sell our entire suite to global accounts with 1250 employees and up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hiring, retaining and managing an enterprise sales team
- Driving the team to:
- Find, qualify and manage the sales cycle, and close prospect opportunities
- Articulate a customized value prop to two very different audiences: HR and C-Level Execs
- Engage C-level executives in EVERY account, no exceptions
- Sell value and ROI and manage messaging across all LOB’s and C-level execs. Demo the product. Drive complex sales cycles.
- Manage multiple deals concurrently.
- Qualify and forecast deals accurately.
- Exceed goals, make money.
Skills and Experience:
- Seasoned Sales Management Professional – 10+ years of successful enterprise software sales and sales management experience.
- Experience managing/selling software apps, SaaS, BI, CRM or similar.
- Past experience using a CRM and forecasting tool
- Stability – A history of intelligent career decisions that resulted in wildly successful tenures.
- Consistent Success – Over-quota, top ranked, President’s-Club performance throughout entire career.
- Likability – No Jerks – this is one of our core company values…HR won’t buy from jerks.
- New market or small company sales experience
- Success evangelizing a new product in a new market
- Successes in different companies - a proven ability to take your sales skills and be successful selling in different markets, different cultures, to different audiences
