SuccessFactors is transforming its business process and systems to enable substantial growth and support both the strategic direction of the company and the CFO organization and its initiatives. This new role will work with subject matter experts and management to optimize the organization’s internal operating model by providing scalable global processes focused on speed, simplification, standardization, productivity and control.
The position we are hiring for is a Senior Project Consultant - Finance responsible for developing and supporting business process solutions for SuccessFactor’s. Initial efforts are with Commissions and Order-to-Cash processes.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and document business processes flows and system support. Identify key customer/stakeholder requirements and measurements.
- Participate in new business process design sessions and maintain business flow documents for new business processes and system enhancements.
- Analyze new business processes to identify upstream and downstream process connections & dependencies. Identify potential issues and propose solutions.
- Create Business Requirements Documents and Functional Specifications for new system features as needed to support business processes.
- Develop test plans, test cases and assist with Unit, String and User Acceptance Testing.
- Build training materials and user documentation for implementation and future new hires.
- Work in consultation with other business analysts to build end to end process expertise and documentation.
- Develop repository for process documentation, test cases, training materials and version control.
- Once processes are “live”, support with post-live stabilization, collect process metrics and analyze business processes to determine improvements and root causes of issues as they arise.
- Develop business benefits realization measures to support need for improvement.
- Lead small ad-hoc projects
Organizational Relationships and Dependencies
The scope of this role includes supporting corporate strategic and organizational initiatives such as new business models, company acquisitions, system upgrades and process reengineering. A high level of interaction and coordination with the business using a diplomatic, professional and service-oriented approach is required to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the business.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage deliverables and changes in business process and systems through extensive collaboration with both internal and external customers and must work well in a highly complex global organization.
The demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize, and work through changes or setbacks, work well with others when conflicts arise, ensure alignment with objectives, find common ground and promote understanding of alternative viewpoints before driving for closure and cooperation is required.
Skills/Qualifications
- Operational experience from a functional perspective within Commissions or Order-to-Cash.
- Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) company a plus.
- Must have strong analytical skills to identify and interpret potential business process issues and problems. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Exhibit ownership of tasks and see them to closure. Self-starter, able to learn quickly and to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Results-driven individual who does whatever it takes to succeed and loves a challenge.
- Works under consultative direction and pursues course of action to achieve desired results. Must be able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Excellent attention to detail yet ability to understand the big picture. Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Collaboration and Cross-functional partnering skills required.
Education/Experience
- Experience with a large-scale system implementation and/or process re-engineering initiative required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Business, Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred). MBA a plus.
- Hands-on knowledge of Visio, MS Office- especially Excel and Powerpoint required.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis required.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle required.
- Strong analytical, organizational and judgment skills.
- Experience as a systems integration consultant or management consultant a strong plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus).
- Experience with Cloud-based systems a plus.
