Program Manager Role

The Sr. Program Manager for the Employee Central (EC) Pillar will be responsible for overseeing processes and procedures that engineering employs to ensure the successful delivery of the SuccessFactors’ EC product suite. He or she will be responsible for coordinating among Product Management, Development, Operations and QA teams across the globe throughout the development lifecycle. Also be responsible for ensuring the adherence to the Customer Success SLAs from the engineering teams when handling customer issues.

Responsibilities:

- Understand business requirements as well as high level technical requirements. Work with the Product Management team to plan the product roadmap. Take a leadership role with resource planning of the engineering and QA teams in support of the roadmap.
- Coordinate delivery of multiple concurrent projects
- Manage change control, issues and risks, create timelines, identify key deliverables
- Manage project communications including regular status reporting and project updates to the leadership team, and ensure stakeholder involvement and attention
- Work with technical and non-technical teams, including Customer Support, Professional Services, Product Management, Engineering and QA teams with efficient and effective resolution of customer issues and escalations
- Work as part of a cross-functional group to evolve the Project Management Methodologies and influence development process improvement
- Manage customer interactions (status as well as escalations)
- Be very quality conscious and drive for high quality delivery

Required Skills and Experience:

- 5+ progressive years of experience in relevant project management environment
- 2+ years of experience with PMO concepts and methodologies, software application life cycle practices, documentation, and IT policy compliance
- Previous leadership experience in developing and managing diverse global teams
- Must demonstrate a solid track record of delivering results, esp., of large scale complex projects
- Excellent presentation skills and customer communication skills
- Experience in leading project meetings for diverse audiences consisting of clients, team members to executive level management and departmental directors
- Experience in Agile development methodology
- Strong understanding of MS Project
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Certifications: PMP or CSM desirable
