Our Cloud Marketing Manager for MEE (reporting to the Senior Director Regional Cloud Marketing based in the UK (and a member of the Head of SAP’s MEE On-premise marketing’s leadership team), will extend SAP’s Cloud technology market penetration by leading the strategy and marketing operations for the region in the execution of campaigns and pipeline development for SAP’s Cloud Technology developing and focusing on the target territory and defined key accounts (both client and prospective). Responsibilities

- Define the integrated marketing plan (IMP) for Cloud to support the business goals and the 5 marketing pillars across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, CIS and Eastern Europe (SAP’s MEE region)
- Plan, allocate and monitor budget to support the local requirements and maximise impact on local markets.
- Define, allocate and track KPIs in order to be aligned and support the local business goals
- Align, integrate and leverage other regional lines of business and industry marketing programs into the overall Regional (MEE) Cloud marketing plan.

- Guide and manage joint marketing program and initiatives and set clear objectives and ensure good and aligned communication to generate response and to build awareness of SAP’s Cloud to strategic Line-of-Business (LOB) executives, such as Finance, IT, Strategy, Operations in addition to HR and installed base of SAP for up- and cross-selling

- Drive a cross-country and functional marketing team to meet the marketing and business objectives
- Engage and build strong working relationships across the cloud and on-premise organisations, reporting and ensure frequent communication/updates to the business stakeholders within the sales and marketing organisations, good management of all stakeholder expectations
- Orchestrate the business review for the Cloud marketing plan and provide transparency on local execution and country requirements
- Work closely with global solution and program marketing and other regional marketing teams to co-develop thought leadership content in the SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
- Identify synergy potential and share best practices of marketing programs and processes across the market units
- Provide strategic direction to support marketing challenges pro-actively and propose mitigation plan
- Host frequent calls and drive the agenda to communicate priorities, actions and results. Prepare presentation and consolidate facts and figures for strategic meetings, workshops and/or offsite meetings for the management team.
- Act as a single point of contact for all the MEE cloud related marketing requests
- Support the local field marketing organization to execute demand generation programs within the cloud organization and in alignment with the on-premise technology marketing team
- Monitor campaign metrics and results to identify key findings and ways to improve

- People Management, recruitment, coaching and development of the MEE cloud marketing team

Required Skills and Knowledge

- Several years of relevant technology marketing experience with a mix of enterprise and small, medium business experience working in both a direct and indirect go to market model. Working in a Cloud/SaaS company such as Salesforce.com, Oracle, Microsoft, Saba, Workday etc is a plus
- Experience in supporting a broad region with several multi-cultural aspects. Previous experience in supporting Easter Europe and Middle East in a marketing position is desired.
- People management experience, including hiring, performance reviews and development plans
- Strong presentation, project management and organisational skills
- Problem-solving attitude and accurate working style
- Creative flair mixed with ability to communicate SAP’s cloud strategy and message to a business audience
- Excellent grasp of multiple marketing disciplines (events, advertising, direct and on-line marketing, end-user, partner and alliance marketing, PR, telemarketing etc.)
- Multi-tasking is essential, with a proven ability to handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Experience with PR, analyst relations and proven ability to leverage social media for business
- Ability able to work in a team-oriented (and matrix) environment with both local and remote colleagues
- Strategic, level headed and must be ‘hands on’ with marketing activities
- Eager and open for new challenges / tasks and resistant against constant change
- Experience in people management, building strong working relationships and trust with Sales and working with multiple ‘virtual’ teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in German and English) with superb attention to detail, as well as excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Additional language such as Russian or other Easter European is an advantage.
- Willingness to regularly travel throughout the region, Europe and to the USA dependent upon operational requirements to travel between 40-60% annually
